Zion March
Don Grant is a Jamaican Composer, Singer, Songwriter, and Multi-Instrumentalist. He grew up in a musical family and was greatly influenced by his dad, an accomplished pianist, church pipe organist, and choir director. Don has toured, recorded, performed, and collaborated with many artists and musicians internationally, including recording with Lee Scratch Perry. His lifelong love and passion for music keeps him highly motivated. His love for life and humanity shines through his melodies, lyrics, musical arrangements, and recorded performances. Don’s artistic vision constantly grows and finds new expression in blending genres and musical styles. Don’s compositions include vocal and instrumental Caribbean Island Music and upbeat, energizing Jamaican Reggae Selections. “I love playing the bass guitar, one of my favorite instruments. I’ll sometimes start my compositions with a bass line. This most often results in a very rhythmic danceable song.” Don’s musical influences have spanned the eras of Mento, Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, and Dance Hall. His goal is to continue creating music that touches audiences and unites people from all over the world from all backgrounds and cultures. His latest release, Zion March, an up-tempo Reggae Jazz Piano-driven instrumental infused with elements of dub, is well worth checking out!
