In the first episode of FEMIN’ISH LAND, host and producer Lulu Solares, a.k.a. Miss Lulu, introduces legendary singer and songwriter Queen Omega as godmother of the podcast.
The podcast includes the testimonies and opinions of the Mexican Reggae community, such as The Overlines (ska band) singers, Roberto de las Torres, DJ’s and Reggae Lovers regarding their experiences of Street Sexual Harassment for the #MIPRIMERAVEZ initiative.
#MIPRIMERAVEZ is a social media campaign calling to increase awareness and open conversation about the severe consequences of Street Sexual Harassment, a practice of aggression severely marked in Mexico and other Latin American countries’ cultures leading to the main types of violence such as femicide.
According to the guest on the podcast segment: “Opinion’Ish,” psychologist and specialist on Masculinity, Marcela Sucilla, street harassment practices could be a consequence of a Macho/Sexist education, and most of the time is not always considered by aggressors as a type of violence, so it is vitally important to open the conversation between men and women about the severe repercussions of those lewd looks on public transportation and spaces, unwanted and vulgar compliments, the invasion of personal space, physical touching and more.

Miss Lulu brings you news about the recent and upcoming releases by artists Xana Romeo, Shenseea, Spice, All B, Matah, and more of the top-notch female voices representing Reggae in all styles and formats.
Miss Lulu guides you to the promised land for the women of the genre, with an exclusive performance and details of the most significant moments in Queen Omega’s twenty-year music career. She also reveals for the first time the details of Queen Omega’s upcoming EP, “STARS ALIGN,” which will be available for pre-order at the end of October.

Known for her Reggae songs, QUEEN OMEGA now presents this new project digging into her island musical roots. Stars Alignʼs story begins under the Caribbean sunshine with Noble Touch, a Trinidadian producer, and sound engineer, under Evidence Music label.
This project will highlight Trinidad and Tobago’s powerful energy with love experiences lyrics, a bridge between the old and the new, and Reggae music and the strong wave of Afrobeat Dancehall and Soca influence, introducing us to a new level of versatility from Queen Omega.
