Rising reggae roots vocalist Kemani Ifari Powell, was born on December 29, 1986. Rightfully known as Fari DiFuture, he hails from the beautiful island of Jamaica. Raised in Kingston, within the peaceful community of Cooreville Gardens, Fari is no stranger to the arts, having been brought up in a musical family. His parents, Winston Powell and Maizy Powell, are both singers and founding members of the Reggae trio Midnight Rider, known for classics such as ‘Wanted’, ‘Clash in a Rhythm’, and ‘Youthman Invasion’. As a child, he was exposed to the big stage performing alongside his parents any chance he could. This is where he harnessed his confident and engaging approach. Following his passion at a young age, Fari attended The Jamaica School of Music, in which he learned the many aspects of music and performance, and gained knowledge on how to play instruments in the Percussion family, and Acoustic Guitar.

Fari DiFuture can easily be identified through his mellifluous, soulful voice and insightful lyrics. Deeply rooted in Rastafari beliefs and principles, the singer has manifested the philosophy of the “H.O.W.K.L.E.A.R Movement”, an acronym which stands for Heights Of Wisdom-Know, Learn, Execute & Rise. Consisting of musical colleagues Jermaine ‘Autarchii’ Joseph and Ryan ‘Skull’ Morgan, the rapidly growing movement aims to instill the positive message: In all aspects of development, in order to gain the Heights of Wisdom, one must first Know, Learn, Execute And then Rise, exemplifying the words of H.I.M. Haile Selassie.

Upcoming projects for Fari include a lineup of live performances, features and dubs, soon to be available. An the highly anticipated EP entitled ‘Tree of Life’, which is also the name of the new single produced by world reknown drummer, Doni Marshall, schedule to be released July 1st digitally on all media outlets. This song sends a source of upliftment and strength, which come from the female demographic a mother gives her son proverbial words to sustain throughout trials and tribulation.
