Following the successful and widely acclaimed release of his single ‘Life’ (150k views on YouTube, with appearances on ‘Sélection RFI Musique’, ‘FIP Reggae’, and ‘Nova Lyon’ among others), which is only one of the many tunes he will be dropping with his forthcoming eponymous album, Daman now releases a second single, ‘Hurt’, featuring the iconic and timeless figure of the Jamaican reggae scene: Max Romeo.

Recorded in Paris at the Nojoke Studio, this one drop single performed in the purest of traditions by Roots Heritage relays lyrics denouncing capitalistic destruction.

Against the oppression of this capitalistic system leading our system to the brink of self-destruction, Daman urges us to take back control of our lives: “take the power back!”

Beyond a teenage dream, ‘Hurt’ constitutes a powerful collaboration, with Max Romeo lending his legendary voice to Daman’s lyrics.

Daman is a french reggae singer based in Paris. Founder of KillaSoundYard and Sparky Riot, he has also worked with producers like Zion Train, Jah Tubbys.

His songs are played worldwide by well-known sound systems such as Jah Shaka and Channel One.

Daman has performed more than 100 concerts in 9 countries and has released lots of vinyls & digital EP.
