Sisters of Reggae

UK’s First All-Female Reggae DJ Collective

Founded in 2016 by Lucky Cat Zoë, Sisters of Reggae are 5 record collectors and selectors playing Revival to RockSteady, Jamaican Oldies, Ska, Roots, Rockers, Dub and Early Digital Reggae all on 100% VINYL.

In early 2016, inspired by an article on Women in Sound systems, Lucky Cat Zoë brought together an elite DJing team of female reggae collectors to fight evil and bring good Reggae vibes to all!

Lucky Cat Zoë, Debbie Golt, Miss Feelgood, Naoko The Rock and Sweetie have supported some of the biggest names in Reggae. These include U-Roy, Marla Brown, Soom T, David Rodigan, Bitty McLean, Christopher Ellis, The Hempolics, Channel One, Aba Shanti I, Max Romeo, Dubkasm, Axis Sound System and many more.

The Sisters were featured in Vice’s i-D magazine and have recently been filmed for a documentary celebrating the anniversary of Trojan Records.

In 2017, the Sisters of Reggae rocked the Roots Reggae stage at Bestival and staged a Live Takeover on Soho Radio with Nubiya from the Hempolics.

You can catch Sisters of Reggae at their monthly residencies at the Queens Head Brixton and Prince of Peckham LDN.

In a genre that is mostly male-dominated, the Sisters of Reggae are putting women on the center stage! Join IRIE Magazine and support the Sisters of Reggae as they continue to mash it up!

Maaaad Love & Respect!
