REDFyah

The sages say, “Commitment, Hard Work and Perseverance shall always sail one through in as much as one wants to work in order to succeed in life”.

For ‘Ras Krizz the known REDfyah’ the music art started not so long ago. Abudu Seidu, (REDfyah) was born in the northern part of Ghana, Africa; the second born son of the King of Gonjas (The Paramount Chief) in The Northern region known as Gonjaland.

King Kurabaso passed away when REDfyah was at the tender age of one year old. Raised along with his older brother by a single, strong, and determined mother was inspiration for him to express himself through art. REDfyah, was a picture artist that had a love and a curiosity for Rastafari and Rastafarians including their music.

As REDfyah grew accustomed to the lyrical content of the great Rasta artists he himself began to perform on the small scale when a sound technician, named Samuel Ababio aka X’tee, heard the soulfully delivered lyrics of this young musician, Samuel insisted that REDfyah’s voice and professionalism was at a level that was good enough for masters and not just the demo level. Samuel refused to listen to any excuse from REDfyah regarding finances or any other reasons not to pursue this gift.

Due to this encouragement, REDfyah realized he must take the next step in his career… and a recording of an album came to be. Against all odds, REDfyah’s determination and hard work paid off and five years later, with many financial difficulties and family obligations taking priority, the album “City of Gold” was completed. Eventually REDfyah became an inspirational reggae DJ at Winners FM 98.5, a renowned radio station located in the Brong-Ahafo region of Ghana.
