Ameera

Ameera’s singer/songwriter skills are on display with an unquestioned ability to grab listeners.

First with a voice that’s mellifluous with a resonant quality which allows for transcendent studio sound and a live performance showing dimensions to marvel at. In all facets of artistry, Ameera has been internationally recognized as well as garnering state side notoriety.

Although Ameera was born in the states, she’s of Jamaican decent. This allowed for travel to and from both essential places of origin ultimately enabling her to find comfort in touring and different styles of music.

In 2011 she completed a world tour singing background to mega pop star Lady Gaga on the famous ‘Monster Ball’ tour. This tour enabled her to sing for sold out crowds in stadiums such as The Madison Square Garden and the O2 arena. Performing internationally would prove to be of importance for Ameera.

Following her extensive resume with popular artists, Ameera solidified a partnership with Jimmy Maslon (Owner/Manager of Ahi Nama Records) where she recorded ‘Bop Doo Day’ a New Jump Blues album that was featured on Los Angeles KJAZZ radio station.

Her single ‘Bud’ was a successful hit as it played on major Jazz radio stations throughout the country! Ameera was able to showcase her electrifying stage show abroad in 2012 to headline 4 months at the famous Brown Sugar club located in Shanghai, China.

Along Ameera’s career, she has received words of wisdom and encouragement from the likes of Patti Austin, Bobbi Wilsyn, and Antonio Fargas. In 2015, Ameera teamed up with reggae legend Mr. Vegas and remade Adele’s classic hit ‘Hello’ in a ruba-dub style. This remake catapulted Ameera to reggae success allowing her to perform at Reggaes finest festivals like The Best of The Best, Love Fest Hawaii and Welcome to Jamrock Cruise.

Her latest EP, ‘Teriyaki’ will debut this spring. ‘Teriyaki’ is infused with island sounds, soulful vocals and heartfelt lyrics. Ameera continues to perform locally and internationally while also tackling a wide range of genres with success.

When asked how she has an uncanny ability to compliment different styles of music with her own personal flair she simply replies “Every genre lives within”!
