Alistair Monroe

With a rich family history of artistry and hospitality, Alistair is the founding member of Cubamera, a cultural exchange music program with missions to promote exchanges between USA and Cuba provided through music and artistic platforms, the North Beach Jazz Festival and the Band Shell Music Summit in Golden Gate Park which benefited music, art and culture and sustainable awareness.

Alistair has managed multiple artists and most recently worked along side Tiny Desk Contest and Grammy Award Winner Fantastic Negrito, Con Brio, DLee and Jacques Ibula, including bay area jazz ensemble Mingus Amungus when they toured Havana, Cuba in 1997 and recorded their first album there.

As an inner-city, community-based, music producer and festival promoter, Alistair’s works to enrich and beautify urban environments to educate the public about the process and history through humanitarian and education platform.

Working with a wide variety of neighborhoods and communities, Alistair has inherited creativity and the celebration of neighborhood arts organizations. Alistair maintains a deep commitment to collaboration.
