San Francisco Bay Area songwriting duo singer-songwriter Razteria & guitarist-producer Dave Shul drop their new album ‘Prowess Blossoming.’ a retro rock pop album produced throughout 2024. Flavors of rock colored by tasty guitar-driven riffs, strong hooks, and melodies bring modern twists to song soundscapes that span the 60s through the 90s across this 11-track album.

‘Prowess Blossoming’ was produced by Dave Shul and features veteran musicians Ronnie Smith on drums and vocals, Roberto Quintana on percussion, Eamon Flynn and Bob Crawford on keys, Dan Casares on Tenor and Baritone Sax, and Joel Behrman on Trumpet. It was mixed by Razteria and mastered by Justin Weiss at TrakWorx in South San Francisco.

About Razteria

Razteria is a San Francisco Bay based band led by singer-songwriter Renée Asteria together with guitarist-producer Dave Shul. Razteria’s eclectic world pop style brings together elements of Latin, world, rock and R&B. Razteria’s two most recent studio albums have been produced and written with Dave Shul – “Tocar las Estrellas” (2023), an alternative Latin album, and “Prowess Blossoming” (2024), a retro rock album. Razteria’s live performances consistently amaze, featuring veteran musicians Waddell Bell (bass), Raliegh Neal (keys), Ronnie Smith (drums), Alcide Marshall (drums) and Roberto Quintana (percussion).

Razteria’s 6-piece band is available to perform originals and covers across genres. Past live performances include Ashkenaz, Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival, Sonoma County Fair, Laurel StreetFair World Music Festival, Brick & Mortar Music Hall, Tabard Theatre, Golden Gate Bandshell, OaktoberFest, Laurel Street Fair, MusikFest, Reggae on the River, Montreal Jazz Festival, World One Festival, WorldFest Los Angeles, Northwest World Reggae Festival.

Noteworthy awards for studio productions: “Once Again” (Grand Prize, John Lennon Songwriting Contest 2016), “Baila” (International Songwriting Competition semi-finalist 2019), “Inspire me” (ISC finalist 2020) and most recently “Life is too short” (2024) music video has received official selections at SF Film Festival Another Hole In The Head.
