Miss ANJ has a Surinamese background and is predominantly inspired by artists, including; Diana King, Lauryn Hill, Queen Omega, Cecile, Chronixx, Nailah Blackman, Sean Paul, and Major Lazer. Miss ANJ’s music will bring vibes rooted in Caribbean, Afro, and East-Asian cultures.

Her music has constantly reimagined her style and redefined what it means to be an empowered female by building a conscience, independent, fun, and rebellious brand.

Miss ANJ collaborated with a few bands, where she broadened her experience before returning as a solo artist.

Throughout her open-ended career, she has performed on numerous stages and festivals in The Netherlands, Suriname, France, Spain, and The UK. These included audiences between 500-7000+ people.

Since being a semi-finalist in the London competition Reggae Star Factor, Miss ANJ enjoyed collaborating with amazing Jamaican musicians who have worked with the top reggae/dancehall artists in the world and co-created her first body of work, a 7-piece EP called ‘LIGHT UP,’ released on March 23, 2023.
