Taj Weekes, the dreadlocked Rastafarian singer-songwriter from St. Lucia, is back with the release of ‘Crisis’, the first single from his upcoming album, “PAUSE’, set to release on August 9, 2021.

‘Crisis’ is a power track that reflects on the current situation. Taj Weekes released an official music video.

Taj Weekes has released six acclaimed albums as the frontman (singer/songwriter) of the reggae band Adowa.

Taj Weekes is one of the authentic voices of roots reggae music. He speaks the truth with his lyrics, backed by his unmistakable voice and trademark sound. But, what makes this dreadlock Rastaman unique is that he’s not just a musician. He’s also a poet and a humanitarian.

Bred in the Caribbean island of St. Lucia but shaped by intercontinental life experience, Taj Weekes is an unwavering, energetic humanitarian, who founded his children’s charity, They Often Cry Outreach (TOCO). His efforts have garnered him the title UNICEF Champion for Children for St. Lucia, where he implements and executes various programs designed to enrich the lives of Caribbean children.

Taj Weekes has released six acclaimed albums as the frontman (singer/songwriter) of the reggae band Adowa. ‘PAUSE’, Taj Weekes 7th Album studio album, will be released on the Jatta Records label.
