WORLDWIDE – October 6, 2016 – IRIE™, the independent reggae magazine for everything roots rock reggae music, today released its 50th issue to date… the October 2016 World Reggae edition (#03.10) of IRIE™ featuring Dub Inc, the independent reggae band from Saint-Étienne, France. Formed in 1997, Dub Inc combines a range of styles, including dancehall, dub, ska and rap. Their music is also influenced by African music with their songs being sung in a mixture of French, English and Kabyle.
This 50th issue of IRIE™ features an exclusive interview with singer, Komlan, who shares his thoughts about the recent worldwide release (September 23, 2016) of their 6th album to date, ‘So What’.
In the ROOTS feature, we remember Sandra “Puma” Jones, a member of the Grammy Award-winning group, Black Uhuru. The ROCK feature shines a well-deserved spotlight on the fastest man in the universe, Usain Bolt, and his epic performance (Triple-Triple) in the Olympics in Brasil. The RESPECT section features the following reggae artists that you should be listening too including… Winston McAnuff, Reemah, Clinton Fearon, Auresia, Dada Yute & Dubbest.
The REWIND feature showcases images taken by Roxanne Haynes (@fstoprox) from Rototom Sunsplash 2016 held in Benicàssim, Spain from Aug 13 – Aug 20, 2016 while our RIDDIMS section includes three exclusive IRIE Trax from artists Clinton Fearon, Dubbest and Reemah!
