What is the Baby Beats Collection?
Bay Beats is San Francisco Public Library’s local music streaming platform that champions the exciting musical talent in our own Bay Area backyard. Local musicians can submit original tracks for inclusion in Bay Beats. Once submitted, Bay Area music influencers will review submissions and select albums. Musicians receive an honorarium payment for participation if chosen and upon signing a licensing agreement. Anyone looking to delve into the vibrant local music scene can stream music on Bay Beats, while SFPL card holders can download albums.
Bay Beats has partnered with Amoeba, an independent music store, to make our site a vibrant part of the local music community. In addition to our online presence, they plan to host events and concerts featuring the musicians on the site.
