May 2020 has been a busy month for the artist, ZOOLOOK. The remaining characters for Issue #1 have been finalized as ZOOLOOK begins production for the first chapter of the story arc, ‘Hide Your Soul’. ZOOLOOK will sketch the storyboards for ‘Hide Your Soul’ during the month of June with actual pencils and inks beginning the first week of July 2020. ZOOLOOK is also recording the ‘I’fficial Nine Night riddim for the series. It is the first of nine songs that ZOOLOOK is producing for the first comic book soundtrack in the series. The ‘Nine Night’ album will be released on ZOOLOOK’s label and distributed worldwide through The Orchard!

ComiXstand is one of the key settings in Dread & Alive: Nine Night. Formed in 2006, ZOOLOOK developed ComiXstand as a web-based comic book distribution platform to promote and distribute his creative work along with other independent comic book artists looking for distribution.

At the time, there was really only one option for comic book distribution, Diamond Comic Distributors. And trying to come up with DCD’s minimum order threshold to be even considered for distribution was a serious nightmare for independent artists and independent publishers.

It’s 2020, and ComiXstand is back! Transformed into a comic book shop in the series and operated by characters Nico & Roxanne (Nico & Michelle of IRIE), ZOOLOOK will preview new and undiscovered independent comix!
