Bronco Knowledge

Jamaica

Delroy Fowlin aka Bronco Knowledge is one of the founders of the quintet ‘Knowledge’ originally from the legendary ghetto of Trench Town, in Kingston 12, Jamaica. The group was formed in 1976 and their album ‘Hail Dread’ was recorded and produced by Toppa Zuki from 1977-1978 (recording studios are Black Art Studio of the famous Lee Scratch Perry, King Tubby Studio, Channel 1 Studio, Tuff Gong Studio, Treasure Isle Studio and Harry J Studio).

It was distributed by A&M Music Company in 1979 in England. Bronco Knowledge grew up and was associated with Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailers, Scully Simms, Alton Ellis, Joe Higgs, Delroy Wilson, Johnny Clarke, Wailing Souls, Horace Andy, Burning Spear, Toots and The Maytals, among others. Bronco is also the writer of several classics of the genre, such as Sentry, Zion, and First Street Rock.

However, despite all this musical wealth, the group did not succeed in making in on the international scene, and so they stayed the shadows for several decades. After having released two solo albums, ‘Tell Me Something’ (1993) and ‘More knowledge’ for the People (2011), Bronco Knowledge returns to the scene with a new album ‘The Revelation of Knowledge’ which will be released at end of 2018.

Bronco Knowledge présents to us his first single, ‘Be Hold’, a title which takes us on the spiritual path to fight against all forms of mental manipulation and gives it a sacred sense. The second single ‘I n I’ also by him, will be released this autumn, a title which reminds us to place love above all.
