Auresia

With musical roots as diverse as the world’s music lovers, Montreal’s Auresia effortlessly blends unique pop sensibilities with the soul of reggae, always keeping herself free to innovate and inspire. A singer, songwriter and guitarist, the Edmonton raised musician of Ukrainian descent has been singing and charming audiences from the age of three.

Listening to her intricate melodies, beautiful harmonies and eclectic mix of Caribbean, soul, latin and pop flavors, which are perfectly blended with empowering and even eco-conscious lyrics, it doesn’t take long to reach the conclusion that Auresia’s sound is most certainly diverse. It’s no surprise then she’s been nominated for Favorite World Artist at the 2010 Independent Music Awards and for four awards at the Canadian Reggae Music Awards.

Following her five-time nominated self-titled debut in 2008, 2011’s Fuel Up (On Love) EP, and her 2012’s EP ‘So In Love With You’, Auresia released her Sophomore full length album: ‘RISIN’!’ which includes tracks co-written by Omar Martinez (Co-writer of Justin Bieber’s song ‘Pray’), and tracks produced by David Beatty (Producer of Nelly Furtado’s ‘Folkloric’ album).

Auresia’s show is high-energy and positive while still captivating the audience with her meditative vocals. After years of performing in the US, Jamaica, Europe, South America and after touring Canada from East to West, Auresia has developed a strong global fan base.

Auresia has headlined the Omega Unity Fest (Medellin, Colombia), Cortes Arts Fest (Cortes Island, Canada) and has performed at Acadian Festival (Caraquet, Canada), Fringe-Pop Fest (Montreal, Canada), the Montreal and Ottawa Int’l Reggae Fests, Montreal Eurofest, Toronto Rastafest and Sistah Fest (Canada), Mystic Mountain Bash (St. Fortunat), Koots Roots (Nelson, Canada), the Montreal and Toronto Ukrainian Fest, Reggae for Life Benefit for Haiti (Toronto, Canada), NOMAD (Fundraiser to walk Greece), the Queens of Reggae series (Toronto & Montreal) and also has graced the stage at various Clubs in Western Europe and in Jamaica.
