WORLDWIDE – May 5, 2016 – IRIE, the reggae magazine for everything roots rock reggae music, today released its May 2016 World Reggae Issue (#03.05) featuring Max Romeo on the cover. On July 22, 2016, Max Romeo will release his new album, Horror Zone, produced by grammy-nominated producer, Daniel Boyle, at his Rolling Lion Studio. IRIE Magazine is blessed to present an exclusive interview with Max Romeo in collaboration with his daughter, Xana Romeo, along with a recap of the making of Horror Zone by Daniel Boyle. This issue also features reggae artists Yoncia (Jamaica), Lion Twin (Trinidad), Gipsy Groove (Kosovo), SBDA (United States), The Hague Reggae All Stars (Netherlands) and SensaMotion (United States).

In our ROOTS feature aka The Chronicles of Reggae, we shine a bright spotlight on the prolific Jamaican rhythm section and production duo, Sly & Robbie aka the Riddim Twins. Our ROCK feature celebrates the 75th anniversary of Ethiopian Liberation Day with the story of Haile Selassie’s return to Addis Ababa! This special feature includes his entire speech to the Ethiopian people on May 5, 1941. Our REWIND feature introduces LiveinColorSF, as she covers 420 at Hippie Hill in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. Yes I!

And if that weren’t enough, we’ve included the Lion Twin’s Steamer 420 Mixtape along with the new release from The Hague Reggae All Stars entitled ‘Stop That Train’ for your personal listening pleasure! Remember to keep it ROOTS, ROCK, REGGAE and RESPECT, Mon!
