Trevy James is a musician, songwriter, and performing artist from San Diego, CA whose work bridges reggae, R&B, and yacht rock influences into a sound that feels both timeless and modern. A lifelong musician, he began writing and recording music at age 13, ultimately going on to study songwriting and piano performance at Berklee College of Music. 

Since 2017, Trevy has performed across the U.S. with multiple bands and as a sought-after keyboardist in the worlds of reggae, R&B, Afrobeat, and hip-hop. Those years of steady work on stage have brought him to his most intentional chapter yet, refocusing on his work as a solo artist while continuing his role as a core member of the San Diego reggae band Psydecar.

To close out 2025, Trevy will release his second solo album, Grey in the Beard. The project represents the culmination of three years of writing, production, and storytelling, serving as his most personal artistic statement to date. Centered on themes of love, perseverance, and transformation, the record showcases the unique fusion of reggae, R&B, and soul that has become Trevy’s signature sound.
