WORLDWIDE – March 24, 2017 – 4:20 pm IRIE™, the reggae magazine for everything roots rock reggae music, today released its March 2017 Cali Reggae Issue (#03.03) featuring Sister Carol aka Mother Culture… aka the Black Cinderella on the cover. The March issue includes an exclusive interview with Sister Carol and also gives respect to her daughter, Nakeeba Amaniyea, along with artists Fari Di Future (Jamaica), Tendekasha (Australia), Rick Haze (United States), Alistair Monroe (United States) and Dread Radio (Trinidad)!

The ROOTS feature is dedicated to ‘A Day Without A Woman’, a massive, nationwide general strike held on March 8, 2017, (International Women’s Day) to recognize “the enormous value that women of all backgrounds add to our socio-economic system—while receiving lower wages and experiencing greater inequities, vulnerability to discrimination, sexual harassment, and job insecurity.

The ROCK feature shines a spotlight on SXSW’s Contrabanned, a showcase of Travel ban bands—artists from countries targeted by Donald Trump’s immigration ban while the REWIND feature includes a recap of For The Culture Live presented by Protoje and the InDiggNation.
